<lj:music>Pow! Pew! Ker'sploooode.</lj:music>

I'm watching the Discovery Channel right now, the show that's on is called "Destroyed in Seconds". The host explained the whole concept of the show in the intro, claiming that his team has gathered as much extreme footage of accidents around the world as they could find. Honestly, I was interested at first, I assumed it'd just be another Real TV or something. As I'm watching, it gets to a story about a freight train explosion. They show the footage of the explosion from a dash mounted cop-car camera a few times, explaining what's happening while it happens. Then, they start showing the wreckage, explaining "Hundreds of homes.. turned to ash, countless lives.. changed. One woman was tragically killed by the initial explosion." and after that, they just move on to the next story.

This kinda urked me. They're basically using the tragedy of the losses of these people as entertainment. I mean I know it's nothing new, but it was unexpected.

Later in the show they start showing footage from the cockpit of a military aircraft practicing landing at night, only problem is, there's another plane already parked on the landing strip. The in-flight plane can not change its path in time and crashes full force into the parked plane. They show the explosion four times, then show pictures of the after math and discuss the difficulties of flying at night. Then, at the very very end of the segment, the host states "The pilot of the jet was fine, unfortunately, the four pilots in the parked plane were killed".

So, doesn't that mean we just watched four people die.. four times? One of which in slow-motion? I'd expect this from Fox News, but Discovery? Come on.. You guys are supposed to be educational.
Srsly gaiz.. ghey.

They have to reposition them and turn them over. And even then some of the bones are left over." I stopped dead in my tracks XD The BK employees were casually discussing cremation while taking orders.
I giggled.
That's all.

Bye :D
